History:

The Division of Albanian Language and Literature was opened in the 2007-2008 Academic Year within the structure of Trakya University Faculty of Letters Department of Balkan Languages and Literatures. The Division of Albanian Language and Literature which accepted 20 students until 2017-2018 Academic Year, now accepts 30 students. Currently, approximately 56 studens are studying in the division.

 

Aim:

Students who graduate from the program of the Division of Albanian Language and Literature can express themselves in current affairs orally and writing. Scientifically, they can define what the development of Albanian language, literature, history, culture and folklore. They can analyze the relations across cultures and impact of it in in Turkish and Balkan geography. 

Students who graduate from the program of the Division of Albanian Language and Literature can find employment opportunities in translation offices, airlines, hospitals and educational institutions. In addition, by the lectures working in the division of Albanian Language and Literature preparing secondary school textbooks. Therefore, another opprtunity arises for the students in the future. 

 

Postgraduate and Doctorate:

Students who graduate from the program of the Division of Albanian Language and Literature can continue their postgraduate and doctorate education in the Department of Balkan Studies, which was opened in the 2013-2014 Academic Year at Institute of Social Sciences.

 

 

 

Mevlana Exchange Program:

Mevlana Exchange Programme is a programme which aims the exchange of students and academic staff between the Turkish higher education institutions and higher education institutions of other countries. With the regulation published in August 23, 2011 (num: 28034), students and academic staff exchange between Turkish higher education institutions and higher education institutions of other countries has been possible.

Students may study abroad for one (minimum) or two (maximum) terms and academic staff may lecture abroad from one week (minimum) to three months (maximum). Accordingly, students and academic staff from any country may benefit from this programme being hosted by Turkish higher education institutions in order to study or lecture.
